Band first, cup second. If the band rides up at the back it is too big, not too small, and that is the single most common mistake in this category. Every set lists both.
The brief
Rise varies far more than the bra does, and a brief that sits two centimetres lower changes the whole look. The photographs show where each one sits; a size will not move it.
