The fabric has four-way stretch, so it moves with you instead of holding a fixed shape. Between sizes, take the larger one: a coated finish reads best when it is not pulled flat.
Shine
A cast rubber piece is stiff and sized to the millimetre. This is a knit with a coating, so it gives where you need it and the shine sits on a surface that still breathes.
