Is it actually comfortable to sleep in?
That is what it is cut for. Satin sits smooth against skin and does not hold heat, and the lengths are set so nothing rides. The sheerer pieces are the exception and are meant more for the evening than the night.
What comes in a three-piece set?
The description lists every item. Usually a slip or chemise, a matching brief and a robe. Each piece is designed to work on its own, which is why they are worth buying together.
Is it see-through?
